What is a business operating system?

A business operating system is a single connected environment where your work, information and processes live together — instead of a dozen separate products that each hold part of the picture. A Business OS covers the things your company actually does: the customers, the jobs, the people, the equipment, the approvals, the reporting. Because it is one system, a step finished in one place can start the next step somewhere else without anyone re-entering the information.

Is this a fixed product or a custom system?

Custom. We start from a working foundation so you are not beginning at zero, then we build around the way your company works. We do not ask you to change your process to fit a fixed product. Any part of the foundation can be changed, removed or replaced.

What is already built?

The starting foundation includes Team Chat and an AI assistant that answers from your company data; announcements, documents and procedures with acknowledgment tracking, a staff directory, a calendar and quick links to external apps; a helpdesk, maintenance work orders and internal file storage; HR onboarding, offboarding and PTO; and an administration area with dashboards, module toggles, teams, roles, groups and branding. Modules can be enabled or disabled and access is controlled by roles and permissions.

Can it integrate with our current software?

In most cases, yes — and often that is the right answer. Where a platform is doing a job well and has a usable interface, we connect to it so information flows both ways. We assess each system with you rather than assuming everything must move.

Can it replace Salesforce or ServiceNow functions?

Accepted Answer

Selected functions, yes. We regularly build custom capabilities that take over specific things a large platform is being used for — a pipeline, a request queue, a portal — where a purpose-built version fits your process better. We do not claim complete feature parity with a large commercial platform, and we will tell you plainly when integrating is the better choice.

How soon can employees use it?

Your first usable features are ready within 10 business days after you provide the required initial details and data. That is real, working functionality your team can start using — not the whole custom system. From there, capabilities are added and refined continuously.

Who helps us define and improve our processes?

Accepted Answer

We do, alongside your people. Our IT professionals and business process experts work directly with leadership and the employees doing the work: understanding how things happen today, finding the bottlenecks, and designing better workflows together. You do not need to arrive with a finished specification.

Do we own the code and data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You own the resulting source code and your data. You can download the code and export the data at any time, and that ownership continues after the engagement ends.

Are there per-user fees?

Accepted Answer

No per-user fees for BOS. Adding people to your own system does not increase what you pay us. Third-party subscriptions or usage-based costs — AI, SMS, email, storage — are identified separately.

What happens if we stop ongoing development?

Accepted Answer

The system is yours and it keeps running. Ongoing hosting, backups, support and core updates continue as a flat monthly service; that service is included during an active evolution engagement and billed separately afterwards. You can also take the code elsewhere or bring in another developer.

Can it run in our own environment?

Each system runs in its own dedicated environment. Hosting can potentially include hardware in your own office. We work through the practical options with you during design rather than assuming one arrangement.

How do the two engagement models differ?

Ongoing Evolution is a term-based engagement with flat monthly billing that includes the system, hosting and continuous development against a shared priority list and an agreed capacity — the system keeps growing as the business changes. A Defined Project has an agreed scope and project price, builds a system for defined requirements, and has a clear finish; further development can be scoped separately afterwards.
